Herzens Care
Every garment has its own unique character and deserves correspondingly careful treatment. We'll show you how to lovingly care for your HERZENS knitwear and silk pieces so that their quality, feel, and radiance are preserved for years to come.
CASHMERE
Our cashmere garments represent timeless quality and luxurious comfort. The exquisite natural yarn provides pleasantly light warmth in winter and impresses with its natural climate-regulating properties in summer. The fine undercoat of the cashmere goat ensures breathability and a balanced feel against the skin.
01
Cashmere doesn't require daily washing; often, careful airing is sufficient. Allow your cashmere garments at least 24 hours to regenerate after wearing them again.
02
Cashmere does not require dry cleaning. Wash your knitted laundry bag on a gentle wool cycle and use a special cashmere/wool shampoo only in a small amount.
03
After washing, cashmere should be dried lying flat in shape, ideally on a towel in which the garment is gently rolled to absorb excess moisture.
04
Slight pilling is typical for cashmere and does not represent a quality defect. Gently remove it with a cashmere comb or a special fabric shaver, without pulling it off.
SILK
Our silk garments from HERZENS impress with their elegant sheen, feather-light feel, and natural temperature balance against the skin. With careful maintenance, a classic silk garment will retain its beauty for many years.
01
We recommend cleaning silk gently by hand or in the special silk cycle of the washing machine.
02
Use a special silk shampoo to preserve the fine structure of the material and support the longevity of your silk garment.
03
To prevent the freshly washed fibers from warping, let your silk garment dry lying flat, ideally gently rolled up in a towel.
04
Wet silk should not be rubbed, wrung out, or spun in order to protect the fine fiber structure.
MERINO
Our merino garments combine exceptional lightness with natural warmth. The fine fiber structure has a temperature-regulating effect, providing warmth in cold weather and a pleasant feel against the skin in milder temperatures. At the same time, merino wool impresses with its durable quality and versatility.
01
Merino wool has natural antibacterial and odor-resistant properties and therefore does not need to be washed after every wear. Generally, it is sufficient to air the garment carefully after wearing it.
02
Wash our merino models in cold water on the wool cycle and select a low spin cycle to optimally preserve the fine fiber structure.
03
Use only a wool detergent to preserve the fine structure and special breathability of the merino wool.
04
Gently reshape your merino knitwear after washing and allow it to air dry.
